Vodka
Cosmopolitan

Pink, tart, and better than its reputation — a real cocktail, not just a prop.
Every recipe on Sipped Right is tested at home before it's published — not just written.
Origin
Multiple bartenders have claimed credit through the 1980s–90s, most prominently Toby Cecchini in New York — one of the more contested modern-classic origins, best treated as disputed rather than fact.
Flavour Profile
Good as an easy, not-too-sweet option for someone who thinks they don't like vodka drinks. Not for someone who wants a stirred, spirit-forward drink.
Glass & Garnish
Coupe or martini glass, chilled.

Ingredients
- Vodka1.5 oz
- Triple sec0.5 oz
- Fresh lime juice0.5 oz
- Cranberry juice0.25 oz

Method
- Shake all ingredients with ice 10–12 seconds.
- Double-strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with lime wheel or orange twist.

Notes
Citrus vodka gives a rounder version. Double-straining removes ice shards. Pairs well with shrimp cocktail.
