About the Tequila Fizz
A tequila application of the classic Fizz format dating to the late 1800s New Orleans bar scene — no single credited inventor for this variant.
Ingredients

- Tequila2 oz
- Fresh lime juice¾ oz
- Simple syrup¾ oz
- Soda water~2 oz, to top
Method
- Measure and pour the tequila, fresh lime juice and simple syrup into the shaker.
- Add a scoop of ice to the shaker.
- Shake for 15 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into a fizz glass, no ice.
- Top with soda water.
Glass & Garnish
Highball glass, no ice in the glass. Garnish with a lime wheel, matching the lime juice in the shake.
Notes
Serve immediately. Pairs well with light salty snacks.
