About the Gin Buck

Same early-1900s Buck cocktail family as the Moscow Mule — no single credited inventor for the gin variant.

  • Gin2 oz
  • Fresh lime juice½ oz
  • Ginger beer4 oz , to top

Method

  1. Measure and pour the gin and fresh lime juice into a glass with ice.
  2. Top with ginger beer.
  3. Stir for 5 seconds.
  4. Cut a lime wheel.
  5. Garnish with the lime wheel.

Highball glass, full of ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Notes

Use a spicy ginger beer, not mild ginger ale. Pairs well with spicy or fried snacks.
