Aperitif/Liqueur
Limoncello Spritz

Tart, citrus-bright, and underrated next to its more famous orange cousin.
Every recipe on Sipped Right is tested at home before it's published — not just written.
Origin
Limoncello comes from southern Italy's Amalfi Coast, a regional household digestivo with no single documented inventor. The spritz format follows the same Italian aperitivo template as Aperol and Campari spritzes.
Flavour Profile
Good for someone who wants a tart rather than bitter spritz. Not for someone who wants a bitter, aperitivo-style spritz.
Glass & Garnish
Large wine glass, full of ice.

Ingredients
- Prosecco2 oz
- Limoncello1.5 oz
- Soda water1 oz

Method
- Fill a wine glass with ice.
- Add limoncello.
- Top with Prosecco, then soda water.
- Stir once, garnish with lemon wheel.

Notes
Use well-chilled limoncello, straight from the freezer. Pairs well with lemon or almond desserts, or as a brunch pour.
