Aperitif/Liqueur
Campari Spritz

Bitter, bold, sunset-coloured — the spritz for someone who wants more edge than Aperol gives.
Every recipe on Sipped Right is tested at home before it's published — not just written.
Origin
Campari was created in Milan in 1860 by Gaspare Campari, its exact recipe famously kept secret to this day. The spritz format follows the Italian aperitivo tradition, built on Campari's more assertively bitter profile.
Flavour Profile
Good for someone who finds Aperol too sweet. Not for someone easing into bitter drinks for the first time.
Glass & Garnish
Large wine glass, full of ice.

Ingredients
- Prosecco3 oz
- Campari2 oz
- Soda water1 oz

Method
- Fill a wine glass with ice.
- Add Campari.
- Top with Prosecco, then soda water.
- Stir once, garnish with orange slice.

Notes
Adjust ratio toward Prosecco if bitterness is too assertive at first. Pairs well with salty, cured food.
