Origin

Created in Austria in 2005 by bartender Roland Schmid — a genuinely well-documented modern-cocktail origin, unusual for how quickly it spread across German-speaking Europe and internationally.

Flavour Profile

Good as a lighter, more floral alternative to Aperol or Campari spritzes. Not for someone who wants an aperitivo-style bitter edge.

Notes

Slap the mint before adding to release oils. Pairs well with light brunch food.
