Whiskey
Bourbon Lemonade Cooler

Bourbon softened by lemonade and peach — the pour that gets people who "don't like whiskey" to finish the glass.
Every recipe on Sipped Right is tested at home before it's published — not just written.
Origin
A contemporary build rather than an inherited classic — bourbon-and-lemonade coolers are a longstanding informal Southern US tradition with no single credited origin, peach nectar added as a regional pairing common to bourbon drinks.
Flavour Profile
Good for converting a non-whiskey drinker, or a long porch afternoon — lemonade and peach round bourbon's edges. Not for someone who wants bourbon's full spirit-forward character front and centre.
Glass & Garnish
Highball, full of ice.

Ingredients
- Bourbon2 oz
- Fresh lemonade2 oz
- Peach nectar1 oz

Method
- Fill a highball glass with ice.
- Add bourbon, lemonade, and peach nectar.
- Stir once.
- Garnish with mint and a lemon slice.

Notes
No peach nectar? Peach purée thinned with water works. Batches well since there's no carbonation to lose. Pairs well with grilled chicken or a fruit salad.
