Gin
Butterfly Effect

Starts deep blue. Squeeze the lime — it shifts to indigo-purple, right in the glass.

Origin
An original build riding the butterfly-pea-flower trend used across bars since the mid-2010s for natural, no-dye colour-changing drinks — a real pH reaction, not a visual trick.
Flavour Profile
Good for a visual moment with an herbaceous, tonic-forward drink. Not for someone who wants a fruity or sweet gin cocktail.
Glass & Garnish
Highball, full of ice.

Ingredients
- Gin2 oz
- Butterfly pea flower tea syrup0.75 oz
- Fresh lime juice0.5 oz
- Tonic water4 oz

Method
- Fill highball with ice.
- Add gin and tea syrup.
- Top with tonic.
- Stir once.
- Squeeze lime wheel over top just before serving.

Notes
Make tea syrup by steeping dried butterfly pea flowers, then dissolving in equal sugar. Pairs well with herby snacks.
